Previous Student Scholarship Winners and Their Stories

The ASCM Savannah Chapter, a nonprofit organization, is proud to offer scholarships to encourage and inspire students pursuing an academic degree in supply chain and/or operations management, and to those students that exhibit leadership abilities on campus and in the community.  The scholarships are provided through the generosity of our corporate sponsors and the individual members of the ASCM Savannah Chapter.

I will graduate from Georgia Southern University in the fall of 2023 with a Bachelor's in Supply  Chain Management with an emphasis in Logistics. After graduation, I plan to pursue my CLTD certification with ASCM. I will now be able to use the money I receive from the Savannah Chapter towards the certification cost. I want to thank everyone in the ASCM Savannah Chapter who has supported me in the pursuit of my education. I have learned so much from everyone in ASCM and was able to learn firsthand about logistics and supply chain management. I can not express my gratitude to everyone in this excellent organization who has helped me grow, and for their constant support.

First and foremost, I sincerely want to express my deepest gratitude and thankfulness to all board members for granting me this opportunity.

I am truly honored to be awarded a scholarship from the 2022 ASCM Savannah Chapter which will allow me to expand education and solidify my career and future in the Supply-Chain industry.

My immediate goal upon graduation is to secure a job position with a reputable US organization in the industry for at least 24 months.  Thereafter,  I envision to continue studying  maritime logistics overseas, primarily focusing in Italy, to further increase my experience in the field and enhance my basic knowledge of the Italian language.

The amount of possibilities to successfully navigate this career to make a significant impact on the logistically well planned move of goods and commodities, it is truly endless.

Once again thanks ever so much for this great opportunity.  It is genuinely appreciated.

Much thanks to ASCM for awarding this scholarship to me. This money will go towards my tuition and will help me with my education and potentially the CPIM certification.

Ever since the development of my passion for Supply Chain, I have longed to be a part of something like ASCM. I am honored to serve on the student board of the association and I appreciate the networking events, tours, and the student scholarship I have gained from my involvement in the organization. These are experiences and opportunities that I will take with me beyond my four year education and use for the rest of my life. Lastly, I am honored to be chosen as one of the ASCM  2022 scholarship winners.

I would like to thank all the ASCM Board and Club Members for this opportunity and for interacting with the Student Body of GSU.
